RIDE New Haven is the city’s E-bikeshare provider! It’s an incredible program that provides an accessible bike option as an alternative way to get around the city.
Whether you’re running errands, visiting town, or riding recreationally, they welcome residents and visitors to cruise New Haven with them.
Through our partnership, they’re helping us kicking off 2025 by offering a free ride for 20 participants who want to take advantage of this fun event!
Meet your bike guide, Elias Estabrook
Leading the bike ride through New Haven
Elias Estabrook has been the part-time Bike Education Director for the New Haven Coalition for Active Transportation (NCAT) since 2022, and he got his League Cycling Instructor (LCI) certification in October 2020. He has loved teaching classes with NCAT since early 2021. He co-leads the afterschool bike club at East Rock Community Magnet School. He also works as a fleet technician for the city’s bike share system. Elias grew up walking, biking, and taking transit in Somerville, Massachusetts. He moved to New Haven in 2012. Elias also engages with the civic life of the city through community organizing and service on the City’s Affordable Housing Commission. He gets around by bike, bus, train, and foot whenever possible, and loves riding with friends and new acquaintances on the roads and in the parks throughout the New Haven area.
